My name is Cheyenne, I am a Detribalized Native artist from San Francisco, now living in the gorgeous Forest of Dean in the United Kingdom. During the pandemic, my mother passed down her wisdom of beading to honor our indigenous heritage and keep this art form alive. We use very small beads called seed beads and weave them into earrings, hatbands, bracelets, and countless other applications. This has been the most healing craft for me, guiding me through tough times and providing a creative avenue for expression. It takes time and focus, both are too often neglected in this technological age. By dropping into the flow state, you engage your brain and offer space for deep thought. This art form is for everyone and it is my passion to make beadwork accessible to anyone who’d like to try.
