About

We are old friends working together to bring informative videos on the benefits of using alternative materials when building a house. Cement production is responsible for 8% of global CO2 emissions, for comparison, the aviation industry is responsible for 2% The first project is Matt's self build "Better than Net-Zero" 3 bedroom house in the UK, made from Cannabis (Hemp!) This first project uses hemp, which replaces the need for bricks, cement, plasterboard, plaster and paint. The hemp in the walls regulates the relative humidity within the house and keeps it between 40-60%, the house breathes keeping the air quality inside the house much higher than a bricks and mortar build. These types of houses are able to maintain a constant, year round temperature of about 18 degrees, without heating. We will be putting that (and a lot of other things) to the test later in the build. NB * Matt is not involved in running this channel but comments are always passed on.
