Hello this all started 2013 thinking about being more self reliant We wanted to slow down our life and enjoy things. So early 2015 we sold our log home. All the kids are grown up and they have there own families so we didn't need this big home any more. We bought 10 acres of wooded oak trees property on top of a hill and built this 1600sf log home. We have egg laying chickens, meat birds, turkeys, couple of pigs, goats. We also have three real nice gardens. Please follow us on our modern homesteading journey.
