About

Hello, I’m Melissa Van Dijk. For years, I shared skincare tutorials to help people understand products and improve their skin. But after struggling with acne myself, I realized that skincare products were not solving the issue for me. So I changed my approach. For two years, I have documented what I eat and how my skin reacts. I stopped relying on skincare products for my acne, tracked my food, took pictures, and created my ongoing skin experiment. That experiment led me to understand acne and breakouts as a fluid-retention and pressure problem inside the skin, with excess sodium in the modern food supply as the main culprit. This channel now focuses on acne, healthy eating, and the modern food supply. I share what I have learned about eating whole foods, reducing added sodium, and moving away from the heavily processed way of eating that has become normal. Real food. Real skin. Whole food. No sauces. No processing. No nonsense. Educational purposes only. Not medical advice.
