About

Здравствуйте! My name is Janey (по-русски--Жанна) and I have been teaching Russian for 13 years, learning Russian for 20 years and loving Russian culture since age 3! I originally designed this channel (formerly called College Russian) because I found that many of my students need a little extra help on things outside of class. I also know that there are many people out there who like to teach themselves languages but don't want to have to take that class in college. This is my way of helping you learn Russian as if you were in a Russian classroom. All videos provide you with lots of opportunities to practice and review. I hope you enjoy or at least just learn (but ideally you'll do both!). If you are interested in online lessons (via zoom) please email at and/or follow me on Instagram:
